Explore how product requirements, acoustic development, sample review and production planning come together in an audio OEM or ODM project.
Start with the listening experience
A successful audio project begins with the person who will use the product. A commuter, a call-center operator and a gaming customer have different priorities. Before selecting a housing or chipset, define the intended use, connection method, fit and target selling position. This gives both the brand and manufacturing team a common brief and makes later decisions easier to evaluate.
Connect design with manufacturing
Owin Electronic works with the Cirque Audio manufacturing and development operation in Dongguan, China. Our capabilities span industrial design, structural development, acoustic tuning, tooling, assembly and testing. Bringing these activities into the same project discussion helps buyers understand how a cosmetic change can affect assembly, how an ear cushion can affect fit, and how a feature request can change the development scope.
Use samples to resolve the details
An existing design can provide a practical starting point for an OEM project, while ODM development allows a wider discussion of appearance and functionality. In either case, a sample should be assessed against a written checklist. Review sound, microphone use, controls, charging, comfort and packaging together. Record the approved model, finish and accessories so the production reference is clear.
Build a useful first inquiry
Send the model or product category, expected quantity, target market, branding requirements and preferred schedule. Drawings or reference samples are useful when a standard design does not meet the brief. Our team can then discuss feasibility, sampling and a quotation specific to the project. The next step is an agreed product specification, rather than an assumption that every option applies to every model.
